Sacraments

Baptism

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptised and wash your sins away, calling on his name.

— Acts 22:16

Baptism, also known as Christening, is the introduction of a person into the Church community. Through the waters of Baptism the person enters into the life of the Father, Son and Spirit. The child is dedicated to God and all that is good.

Baptisms are conducted on the FIRST and THIRD Sundays  of each month ONLY at 11.30am.

Sacrament of Marriage

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.

— Ephesians 5:31

Designed in the early English Gothic Revival style, St Mary's Catholic Church has been hosting weddings for nearly two centuries.

We at the Parish of St Mary's welcome you to celebrate your wedding in our beautiful historic church. Your choosing to have a Church wedding indicates your commitment in celebrating before God, the celebrant and your family and friends.

If you wish to be married at St Mary's, please visit our Wedding section.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

— James 4:10
